**Birthday Party!!**

Last Wednesday i had my 17th Birthday party!! It was a lot of fun!!
Here are a few pictures from the party...

Here are a few of us in the pool... later i realized that we never got a group photo of everyone that was at the party!! ~bummer!~

A few of the girls didn't want to get in right away...but everyone did get in the pool sooner or later!!

We played a few games of "Volleyball" but i think it was more like hitting the ball back and forth... but it was fun!!

After awhile we made a very strong current...after everyone made a few rounds in the pool to get the current started... some of us were barely able to walk the other direction!!

We had all the food outside in the gazebo to snack on while swimming...

then after swimming for awhile we noticed some very dark clouds heading our way and it started to get windy, too.... so we all got out of the pool, put the pool toys away and got the food and CD player and headed for the house.

We brought the food downstairs, a few of the kids headed out to close their car windows, and we all changed out of wet swimsuits.

Then of course we started to eat and play around and talk!!

Oh, and it did rain out....but it only rained for maybe a half hour.

And some of us played Twister...but then the "caller" got hiccups and couldn't stop laughing and made us start laughing so then we just called it done!! :)

After it stopped raining out we decided to have a campfire.

We all laughed and talked and had s'mores around the campfire.

And....yeah... we had marshmallows, too!!

I think it's maybe the smoke in the background that makes them so cool looking!!

(And i tried really had to get these pictures to line-up better...but they just wouldn't.)

After a while some of the kids who came later to the party and missed the first swim decided that they wanted to go swimming.

So they went and got on their swim stuff and some of us who had already gone swimming the first time got on our swim stuff again, too.

So we went for a 10 o'clock at night swim!!

And actually the water wasn't that cold... i think it was warmer then the air outside the pool!!

Below: He was saying that he was cold and would like a towel (he meant he would like a towel outside of the pool)

but someone threw it into the pool for him!!

So he walked around in the pool for awhile with it around him...all sopping wet!...then when he got out we did give him a dry one, too!!

And here's everyone who went for a 10 o'clock swim...

After swimming we all went back downstairs to eat some more and to watch part of a movie!!

After awhile we started to run out of chips and only had a bag of plain tortilla chips left....

so we raided the pantry to make some chip-dip.

We found some Velveeta cheese and decided to melt it... a few of us went up to make it.

Two of the guys made it and two of the girls and i sat back at the kitchen table (laughing to each other every so often...esp when we could start to smell it burning once... Although they assured us it wasn't really burning!!)

When the guys were done making it it actually tasted pretty good!!

The party ended around 11:30pm or so.

Oh, it was supposed to end around 9:30-10!! but everone called their parents and made sure it was alright for them to stay late.

i think everyone had a great time...And i know that had a ton of fun!!

sewing!!

the other day we went to town and came back with lots of bags! each of us had bought some pretty fabric to make skirts with. we had been planning on making them for awhile but just never found the time. then the day before camp we decided to. mom...being the good mom that she is...sewed them up for us. she started in the late afternoon and finished around 11:30 pm!!

here i am with my skirt on... the colors are actually brighter.

mom sewed ceara a pair of pj pants. that was no easy task! the pattern that we used was from the 80's and went WAY up on your waist. so mom had to make the waist lower, shrink the size, and make them shorter! (because she wanted them up to her knees.)

mom made our skirt patterns for us using this book.

good job mom...everyone looks pretty good!!

Mid Summers Night

For Mid-Summers night we had a sleepover!! We invited 7 girls, but only 6 were able to come.

Here we are setting up the tent!
It's a very big tent. It can hold up to 10 people easily!





We even put a T.V. in the tent so we
could stay up late watching movies!



This picture was taken before we all put our sleeping
bags down. We really had 3 air mattreses in the tent,
so it was 3 people to an air mattres! (pretty crowded.)


Some of us stayed up till 3:00 that night/morning, others
went to bed right away (about 12:15 to 12:30 am.)

We also had a camp fire! Listening to the High School

Musical sound track, eating s'mores and cake, talking,

and swatting mosquitoes!!!

We had fun lighting sparklers and throwing them. This is a picture of a sparkler going through the air after we threw it!

After a breakfast of waffles and then playing the game "red light

green light" it was time to go home. So into the

van we all went to bring them and all their stuff home. It was a fun party!!!
